According to 49% of Americans, women were more likely than males to agree that the pandemic had a negative impact on their mental well-being. Gen Z and millennials have experienced a more significant impact from the pandemic.

A total of 57% of Gen Z Americans and 53% of millennial Americans said that the pandemic had a negative influence on their mental health. The generational group with the most stress is the millennials, whereas the least stressed generation is the younger boomers coming in at only 37%.

Intellectual Wellness

Today, being healthy includes more than just being physically active; Americans are putting more emphasis on intellectual wellness. Nearly half of Americans rated intelligence as the key to confidence. Learning new things, developing existing talents, and pushing one’s intellectual limits are all part of intellectual well-being. Participating in activities that are fun and stimulating at the same time is a good way of developing your intellectual wellness.

Facial Exercises

Over the past year, 48% of Americans have given skincare top priority. A new self-care regimen also raises new queries. Most people are seeking beauty salons for ongoing advice on their skincare regimen.

According to a survey, 28% of participants already practice or are interested in face yoga or other facial exercises. All of which will aid in toning their facial muscles. Men and women showed almost equal interest in these activities. Women scored 29%, while males scored 28%. With 36% of millennials claiming an interest in or participation in facial workouts, this generation is in the lead.

There are several options available to consumers due to the increasing demand. Businesses are extending their products beyond traditional yoga or even typical workouts to include face yoga, as well as face gyms. Businesses now provide virtual face yoga courses on a weekly basis so that participants may tone their face and neck muscles just like other parts of their bodies. Other businesses provide up to an hour of interactive online seminars where participants can learn new daily scheduled facial exercises.

Workout Classes are the New Spotify

Music is a big aspect of fitness experiences, especially for Gen Z and millennials, workout programs with hip hop themes are also becoming very popular. Younger Americans are more likely to agree that music energizes their workouts (71% of Americans think music greatly stimulates them during fitness activities).

Evidently, Americans who agreed that listening to music while working out are also the ones that find themselves working out more frequently and for longer periods of time when compared to those who aren’t using music as a motivation key. Nearly a third of Americans claim to frequently select their workout courses based on the music being played. Research shows that the type of music being played is not as important for young boomers and Gen Xers.

The Significance of a Healthy Workplace

Every successful business needs a healthy workplace, yet many organizations find it difficult to attain. Nevertheless, despite the challenges, businesses continue to work toward a physically and virtually healthy workplace in order to protect their employees’ well-being. The same was true for the beauty industry, where roughly 2 in every 5 Americans expressed interest in visiting salons or spas that allow pets. Americans are open to a wide range of animal-focused wellness activities to improve their overall well-being.
